Chicago Restaurant Week 2018 : Oak Street Edition

Chicago’s 11th Annual Restaurant Week, when the city’s most exciting restaurants offer exclusive prix fixe menus, kicks off on January 26 through February 8. Several Oak Street restaurants will be joining in the fun with inventive dining options that are sure to please even the most discerning palate.

 

Cafe Spiaggia’s Kale & Mushroom Salad

Café Spiaggia (980 N. Michigan Ave) has a newly renovated space to go with their $22 lunch and $44 dinner Restaurant Week menus:
LUNCH
• 1st course: Choice of kale and mushroom salad or zuppa Toscana
• 2nd course: Choice of peppernota and mozzarella crostino or lumache
• Dessert: Choice of torta nonina or affogato
DINNER
• 1st course: Choice of kale and mushroom salad or fluke crudo
• 2nd course: Choice of farfalle or lumachel
• 3rd course: Choice of mussels or porcheta
• Dessert: Choice of affogato or tiramisu

 

Carrot Tortellini from Fred’s at Barneys

Fred’s at Barneys (15 E. Oak, on the 6th floor of Barneys New York) offers both a lunch menu for $22 and a dinner menu for $44:
LUNCH
• 1st course: Choice of sunchoke puree or winter vegetable salad
• 2nd course: Choice of smoked chicken ravioli, king salmon, short rib cannelloni or Fred’s spaghetti
• Dessert: Choice of butterscotch budino or pear and almond tart
DINNER
• 1st course: Choice of sunchoke puree, winter vegetable salad, ahi tuna crudo, oysters Rockefeller, cauliflower gnocchi, or grilled king crab
• Main course: Choice of Choice of smoked chicken ravioli, king salmon, short rib or carrot tortellini
• Dessert: Choice of butterscotch budino or pear and almond tart

 

Enticing plates from Margeaux Brasserie

Margeaux Brasserie (11 E. Walton, inside the Waldorf Astoria Chicago) will feature a special prix fixe 3-course dinner menu for $33 featuring:
• 1st course: Choice of smoked salmon tartine, roasted red kuri squash and baby kale salad, or potage of potato and leek
• Main course: Choice of blanquette de veau, pan roasted scallops or Parisian gnocchi
• Dessert: Choice of pot de crème or Paris-brest
